2005 Ram 2500 — Rebuilt 5.9 Cummins & Built 48RE Transmission, 800HP Rated
Fully rebuilt 5.9 Cummins with approximately 1,000 miles since the rebuild (161,384 total miles — will continue to climb as I’m daily driving it). Block was cleaned, Magnafluxed, and honed to .007 clearance. Crankshaft ground with .010 main bearings and .020 rod bearings. Built with Mahle pistons and rings, ARP rod bolts, a new M451 oil pump, new cam bearings, and new freeze plugs. Cylinder head received a full valve job, was resurfaced, and reinstalled with new head bolts, plus upgraded 6.7L-style rockers. New OEM Bosch injectors and feed tubes installed. Oil cooler coil, housing, and hardware all replaced, and the oil pressure regulator was rebuilt with OEM Cummins components. All gaskets are Fel-Pro or OEM Cummins, wear sleeve installed. Minor oil sweating present — expected to resolve as the rings finish seating.
Transmission is a heavy-duty built 48RE (done at 140,843 miles) with heavy-duty turn-down pressure plates, high-energy friction clutches, heavy-duty band, billet servos, billet accumulator, billet valve body, upgraded solenoids, shift kit, and upgraded hard parts, plus a new triple-lock torque converter and Mag-Hytec deep pan. Rated up to 800HP.
Sitting on a 6” Tuff Country lift (a brand out of Utah) with Skyjacker shocks, Fuel wheels, and 37x12.50 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 A/T tires with solid tread remaining. Also has an MBRP exhaust, dual aftermarket radio, Hayes brake controller, and a Weather Guard toolbox. Interior is in excellent condition — exterior isn’t the cleanest, but that’s expected on a 20-year-old truck. No tailgate. New headlights will come with the truck. All work is fully documented, receipts available on request.
$19,500 OBO. Priced to sell — possible trade for a truck/SUV/car of similar value, would love a Toyota truck, Toyota SUV, or a Lexus car, but open to other offers.
