Loft bed with built-in desk. The bed has wood support slats so no boxspring is used, just a standard twin mattress.
Safety Rails: Full-length guardrails around the top bunk.
The ladder is removable with bracket hooks that attach to the bed frame, making it easy to move out of the way.
We've had it for my son for past three years, aged 10-13 and it's worked great, allowing for continued additions to his computer setup (the really large desk space is his favorite). But he's moving rooms and getting a laptop, so time to change it up.
