Venmo1980 Gibson Les Paul FIREBRAND “The Paul” Deluxe w/ Chainsaw Case guitar
1980
Made In USA
Made in Kalamazoo, not Nashville.
I think these are going to become more and more collectible and sought after, leaping up in value.
Needs nothing. Ready to play or add to your collection. This guitar sounds and looks incredible! Everything works perfect, volumes and tones smooth and quiet, etc.
These were only made a couple years, fairly rare.
Neck is straight, no warping, Very minor fret wear, but frets are even. No buzzes or high spots. No repairs, no headstock cracks, etc.
Neck to me is close to a 60's neck or thinner. Perfect to me!
Bridge pickup is stamped “1980” (See picture).
Looks to be all original other than the neck pickup.
Neck pickup is a vintage Dimarzio, looks to be period correct, but no date or model #. It sounds perfect for this guitar, I would leave it as is.
Fretboard looks to be ebony. Not sure if wood is mahogany or walnut, but looks and feels great.
I have blacklight here, have looked it over completely, no cracks, no repairs, no finish touchups. I can show you.
Comes with the pictured Gibson Chainsaw case. Hinges good, 2 of the 3 latches work. Works fine as is, but you likely could find the 3rd metal latch on Reverb or Ebay if you desired.
Patina looks awesome in person! Some buckle rash on middle back and pick marks above and below strings, but adds to the awesome patina. Looks great, plays great. Looks like something Bob Marley would play!
Setup and ready to play! Come try it out if interested.
I live in Saratoga Springs and work by SLC airport. I am in Herriman and Draper almost daily, Lagoon in Farmington some weekends, so should be easy to meet.
