Antique J.B. Van Sciver Carved Oak Server / Sideboard – Early 1900s – $225 OBO

Beautiful antique J.B. Van Sciver Co. carved oak serving table / sideboard, made in Camden, New Jersey.

This is a very unique early American furniture piece featuring ornately carved woodwork, figural carved legs/supports, a large serving surface, drawer and lower storage shelves. The original J.B. Van Sciver Co. manufacturer label is still intact inside, along with an old Ryan & Co. storage/lot tag.

I believe this piece dates to approximately the early 1900s–1920s and is likely Jacobean/Renaissance Revival in style.

It is in original, unrestored condition and shows considerable wear, scratches and finish loss consistent with its age, particularly on the top. I have intentionally not refinished it so the next owner can preserve the original patina or restore it as desired.
