*We are are negotiable on the price depending on where he will be. I didnt want to put a dollar amount because it is a variable. Thank you. *We are unfortunately rehoming our 6 year old Cane Corso. He is very healthy with Ofa records for hips, elbows, eyes, patella, and heart. He has a very cool personality, he likes to lie around but also athletic and can keep up with hiking, swimming, and camping. He loves to swim but will need a lifejacket to help not tire him out too much. He loves long car rides and has done many long drives with us. He is very good with kids and female dogs. He doesnt have a preference for a male or female owner, he is good with either. He doesnt like to be challenged with male dogs but if it was a more submissive male dog I think he would do fine. He is great with little dogs and doesnt mind big livestock. I dont know about chickens or rabbits. I dont think he would do well with cats. He is E Collar trained and probably need to use it the rest of his life. This is a guardian breed and he is intense all of the time. He barks at strangers when in the car or if they walk up to the house. He is very true to the breed. He is weary of strangers and doesnt just go up to them to be pet. He is definitely an observer. He was our shop dog and his favorite place is in the same room you are in. He would do really well for someone who wants a dog to roam the property like its his job. We would like him to go to someone that has the energy to take him outdoors and walk around. He doesnt run away, but will want to make sure your in eye sight. He is the perfect hiking partner. I would love for him to go to someone that wants him around always and really would take him everywhere they went. He is potty trained and doesnt chew. The only thing he does is he likes to bring out a shoe and put it in a different room. He has done that his whole life, Im not sure what that means but he does it. (His little jab at you for leaving the house ). He does perfectly fine in the house alone and shouldnt have to be kenneled. Obviously with a new environment, Im sure he would need someone to slowly accumulate him to being left alone. We are looking for someone who isnt gone all day and will take him out of the house. Biggie is an indoor dog, he has never slept outside or in a kennel. Im not sure how he would do in the kennel, when we board him he isnt anxious too much but he does bark. He was on the raw diet for about 4 years but it got to be too much. We went half raw and half dry for a bit, until ultimately regular high quality (high quality for dry dog food) as we could do. He does great. His coat is soft and he loves affection from family. He does great with kids but he is very big and clumsy that I would be afraid of a small kid getting knocked over. He is right under 130 lbs. He is handsome, pictures dont really do him too much justice. We are going to be very strict with who he goes to as Im sure one would imagine. I would rather him not be in a house where someone is at work 40 hours a week. I would love him to go to someone that has experience with guardian, assertive breeds, large breeds and will be a confident leader for him. Mostly I want someone that will love him and go with him everywhere. He is not a dog park dog. But being someone that has experience with these types of breeds will already know that. Dogs constantly try to dominate him there. Its something that always happens and never is good for the other dog. He has never hurt another dog but it is scary and should be 100% no go. Some of the things he needs to work on is that he is food aggressive. He has always been that way and he needs to eat outside and away from other dogs. Treats can be like that too so we would ask that he doesnt compete for treats with other dogs. He is heavy. So he could knock you over if he wants to go outside. It is a very bad habit that we were not good about training him on. When you open the door he wants to hurry and go out to see if theres a squirrel. It is very annoying but just know, he does it. He is also gentle and likes to snuggle. Sometimes he does growl at you when you try to get him to get off the bed. I just wouldnt allow him to get up there at all if you arent okay with a dog in the bed. He doesnt like baths or his paws touched. If you have dealt with this before its one of those things that he will eventually be ok with once hes in there. Paws have always been a thing hes been growley with. He listens really well but he will always need an e collar. His e collar works miracles. He is very receptive to it and it is very helpful of course. It also keeps him safe and away from things. It has helped us in last min situations where we cant be there to grab him or he doesnt listen the first time and he needs it. It is a vibration collar, not a shock collar. It would be a great thing for someone to have experience with or be ok with learning. We are located in Boise, Idaho but we will travel to Utah to make sure hes in a good place.
