Beautiful antique Wheeler & Wilson D-9 sewing machine, manufactured in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Serial number 2,916,868.

The machine sits in an ornate oak drop-head cabinet with beautiful carved detailing and its original cast-iron foot treadle. It still has much of its original black finish, gold decoration and Wheeler & Wilson medallion.

This wonderful piece is approximately 120 years old and shows expected wear, including fading to the gold decals and some surface oxidation. I have not tested it for sewing, so it is being sold as an antique decorative or restoration piece.

A beautiful piece of American history that would make a wonderful display table, conversation piece or restoration project.
