This girl is special. A gorgeous gruella draft cross mare, who is an excellent mom and has raised two soft, sweet temperament babies that I’ll be keeping. I wish we were keeping her as well- but we have too many horses and need to make room for more babies coming in.
We’ve owned Lainey for 1.5 years and have been impressed with how far she’s come. She was in rough physical shape with a big baby on her side, but you wouldn’t know it now. With regular feet trims since I’ve owned her, chiropractic work, PT (to build muscle after having babies)- she's in great shape now and ready to get to work.
She is BROKE to ride. She was pregnant last year as we were getting her back into shape, but we did put several rides on her last year and she did amazing. She picked up her leads and I can tell she’s had good training, she’s just rusty from being a broodmare the last few years.
We are weaning her baby at the end of September so she’ll be available after that. Come and see her and you will fall in love with her sweet face and kind eyes!
She is NOT bred back this year to give her body a break. Buy her as a mama for your heard, or ride her! Either way this girl needs exercise and to be loved on! She is a little spooky on the ground (mostly when pregnant- thanks hormones), but she mostly just snorts. However, she is solid in the saddle but again is rusty so for this reason I recommend an intermediate rider for Lainey!
