American Bresse Chickens are a remarkable, dual-purpose breed. With blue legs and white body and a red crown you can see why they call them American. They lay about 250 eggs a year but the thing that sets the apart from other dual purpose breeds is the high quality of meat. These are gentle birds, my daughter has one hen that will run up to her and want her to hold her every time she around her.
