VenmoMeet Pesto! She’s a female Barons Racer born in 2019. She rubbed her nose off as a hatchling, before I bought her, so she has a cute little rounded nose instead of the appendage the species is known for. Beyond perfect health, never missed a meal, always solid sheds, even parthenogenically laid 20 eggs a few months ago.
This is not a beginner snake. They are arboreal and will require room to climb, and good husbandry with diet, temperature, and humidity. She lives up to the name Racer and is very fast. Fun to handle if you are experienced, dangerous if not. She is also rear-fanged venomous, so caution should be taken with handling. She strikes at the glass and is defensive while in the cage; once removed with a hook she has never shown any aggression outside the cage. Again, a fantastic, healthy, enjoyable add to an experienced keeper’s collection; not for beginners.
I am hoping to keep the cage, so if you are able to provide her with equal or better housing than she has now, I will let the snake go for $300. (The cheapest Barons on MorphMarket is $450.) She eats medium rats and I will include 25ish rats for her. She eats every other week (but would eat every day if you let her!)
If you would like the snake, cage, and cabinet the cage sits on, I will let it all go for $500. The cage is 3’x3’x18”, the cabinet is 4’x2’x2’.
I will only let her go to those who can demonstrate the understanding and willingness to give her the best husbandry possible.
