ApplePayCharming vintage Playskool wooden peg activity table/desk dating to approximately the 1940s.
The table has its original bright green painted finish with yellow PLAYSKOOL lettering on the front, a large perforated pegboard work surface, and recessed storage compartments at each end. Similar Playskool hammer, nail and peg activity tables appear in period Playskool offerings from the 1940s.
Measures approximately 20” wide × 20” tall × 13” deep.
Constructed primarily of wood with four square legs and original-style metal hardware. The green finish shows expected chips, scratches and edge wear from decades of use, giving it a particularly charming old classroom/playroom appearance. Please see photos for condition.
The original wooden pegs and other activity accessories are no longer present. The table itself remains sturdy and displays beautifully.
A wonderful piece of early Playskool history that would work equally well as a collectible children’s toy, small activity table, nursery/playroom piece, or vintage educational display.
