The available space (one spot open) is for land only. Providing the tiny home or RV would be your responsibility. The monthly cost of renting the land is $500. The land and lot is covered in wood chips. This means that if you have a tiny home monthly payment of $200, which is typical (or nothing if you pay it all in full), you can more or less have a studio living arrangement for $700. Power is not provided, so you would have to find alternative means (for example: solar, battery pack, etc). Water is provided by means of a hose to fill up your tank. The RV dump is 1.5 miles away for the black tank.
The spot is within walking distance of many restaurants, grocery stores, some gyms, gas stations, and bus stations.
If you are new to tiny home living, here are some things to consider first:
How much stuff do you own, and will it all fit in your tiny home? Minimalist living may be an adjustment. You could sell things or buy a bigger unit if you wanted to make the adjustment.
Does your personality fit with tiny home living? If you are the type of person who stays at home a lot, will living in a small space give you cabin fever?
Does your lifestyle fit with tiny home living? With a small space, having large parties isn’t feasible, so compatibility must be assessed.
The upside, though:
Tiny home living is more environmentally friendly.
It is cost-effective, so you can save money to spend it on fun.
Pets may be allowed (but you may want to consider heating and cooling costs for the animal).
If you are seriously interested in filling the spot, please include in your message to me why you are interested in tiny home living to be considered or added to the waiting list. Only after we’ve established compatibility would a showing be scheduled. We are a private community and want everyone to get along. Happy to answer questions you have. The spot is month-to-month for a long-term stay in mind.
