I have a hen who is our best layer, but has turned into a bit of a bully to the rest of the flock. She occasionally guards the food and water and plucks other's feathers during the night. Being moved to a new flock may hopefully fix the behavior as her social status falls.

She lays daily; I'd wager she missed less than 10 days in the last year putting her in the 350+ egg bracket. Her breed is a California White which is 25% barred rock and 75% Leghorn which contributes to the high egg yield. The barred rock genes help her be less flighty, but she can be an escape artist if your run isn't fully enclosed. She loves foraging in the yard, but is accustomed to being in a chicken run 95% of the time. She's very food driven and loves to eat treats out of your hand. She is gentle around adults, kids, and dogs.

When the flock starting losing feathers, I suspected feather mites. She was treated with diatomaceous earth and Ivermectin on July 8th. When they didn't get better, a coop camera revealed the actual cause was her.
