PayPalA Serious Depression-era 1930"s appliqué floral wreath appliqué quilt, set on a plain cream/white background ground. This is the best and most valuable quilt I own. Elaborate radiating “sunburst” quilting around the appliqué motifs. Depression-era rust, brown, cream and muted palette. The dense hand quilting is especially important—it appears to radiate around the wreaths and fill the background with fine stitched patterns. Very small, regular hand-quilting stitches. Extremely fine hand quilting. A quilt of this quality and workmanship is very hard to find today. Size 78" X 93" fits a queen bed.
