Easy to service and maintain. Diecast Metal Engine has Magnetraction for maximum pulling power, headlight and running lights, sound of steam sound, and puffing smoke when running. Cars are lighted and have the metal 6 wheel needlepoint trucks for easy rolling and heft, The cars are unrun-see picture taken of underside out of the box. Engine has been test run on a roller bearing test bed and lubed All cars and the rear tender coupler have remote uncoupling for more fun operating.

Lionel hadn't made a Blue Comet set since the Standard Guage trains of the 1920-1930's so when the modern version came out in O guage it was highly sought after - still is, It is the rarest of these modern steam passenger series sets.The paint scheme is 2 tone blue on the engine with gold striping and whitewall drivers(wheels), 2 tone blue on the tender and 3 tone (blue & cream) color on the passenger cars. Simply beautiful to look at and even better when it is running. It looks awesome in the dark with the lighted passenger cars. Background items/buildings are not included in this sale.

Smoke free- adult owned and operated. Have crisp boxes for the cars and factory plastic sack wrap they were packaged in. No box for the steam engine and tender.
