Advertised as "The Most Beautiful Doll in the Woorld", This Vintage 1958 Miss REVLON by IDEAL in RARE OIGINAL Rose Taffeta Party Dress with Fur Wrap, was manufactured from 1956-1959.
The Doll: 20 " Vinyl soocket head, green sleep eyes, real lashes, painted lower lashes, feathered brows, closed mouth, ruby lips, auburn rooted hair, ruby red. painted fingernails, six-piece female-figured body with swivel waist. She is clean, her make-up perfect. Hair needs to be re-styled.
The Costume: rose taffeta cocktail dress with full skirt, white fur wrap, pink taffeta petticoat with tulle ruffle, pink taffeta panties, stoockings with seam up the back, black strappy heals, faux diamond drop earrings and necklace. Her clothes are in excellent condition.
Marks: Ideal Doll VT-18
Her. ooriginal 1958 price was $17.98. A Very expensive doll for the time. When Gas was $.19 cents Gal. and Milk .29 cents Qt.
Keep inmind, some of the online prices listed were beginning bids. The final selling price of 5 examples of this doll averaged from $225 to $250. I'm coming down to $150 because she needs her hair restyled.
