Fertimulch Compost - $55/cubic yard (pic 1) This compost and it doubles as a clay buster! Millers poultry mix is unlike other poultry composts out there on the market. It is a poultry based compost that also includes aged peat moss, composted straw, composted steer manure and then blended together with our aged composted forest products to insure you a top quality poultry mix. Benefits of this compost: Helps to break up hard compacted soils. Use to add nutrients and organic matter back into depleted soils. Organics feed the plants and aid in good soil tilth encouraging not only water retention, but drainage. Side Notes: This is the direct competitor with Nutrimulch but costs less! No matter what type of compost you use, it is not recommended to plant directly into compost. Always completely mix with the soil. We do not recommend Fertimulch as a topdressing/mulch.
OMRI Certified Organic Compost - $70/cubic yard (fine, dark, compost)(pic 2) This is not from the landfill! This is a premium blended compost and consists of forest products and black peat moss & Miller’s Gro Fiber. This is a great amendment for soil that just needs to be beefed up a little (or a lot)! Every year our gardens and flower beds need a little extra boost from the depletion the season before. Compost is meant to feed the soil. If you want your plants to be at their best, a little compost goes a long way to help you get the results you want. Simply mix some compost in the soil before planting and you will reap the benefits. Don’t buy landfill compost as it can contain big chunks, and pre-treated wood products that can contain toxins. See us for the best garden products out there. Side Notes: It is recommended to be mixed with the soil for maximum benefit. This can also be used as a top dressing. **The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is an international nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. OMRI Listed products are allowed for use in certified organic operations under the USDA National Organic Program. We are located in Copperton, directly across the street from the fire station.
