VenmoAn Extremely RARE lot of 6.5" Louis Marx Plastic Platoon WWII soldiers.
4- US Combat Marines - Green with brown & black paint accents. I do not know if they came this way or some clevar boy painted them to make them more realistic.
2- German Reich Soldiers also with painted accents. The soldier throwing the grenade appears to have a bleeding wound on his leg.
The figures are incredibly detailed, with facial features, pockets, combat belts, buttons, wrinkles, and letters USMC above the breast pocket.
The soldiers were made by Marx Toys and they have the year 1963 in Roman numerals on the underside of the base. "Louis Marx & Co. MCMLXIII." Even if individual figures are unmarked, if the letters USMC are clearly visible above th uniform pocket, it's still a Marx.
This set of soldiers are the original, NOT made in China, but in the USA.
I have seen replicas of the marines in Hobby Lobby for $12 each. They were plaster with a plastic coating.
Asking $30 for the set. That works out to $5 each
*Bin-D - Set 1
