EMC 4600 Class in a S10 Blazer
1997 Chevy Blazer built to 4600 Class Spec and has had a lot of money, time and beefy parts tossed at it to make it competitive. Here's a breakdown;
Engine - 4.3 litre Vortec with fresh performance build
Competition Cams 875-12 56-430-8 280 Intake .525 valve lift
Comp Cams double springs
Harland Sharp Custom full, self adjusting rocker rollers ARP rocker studs 135-7201 New timing set New push rods PCM was worked on by PowerLabs in Shelley ID and tuned for horsepower
No miles since rebuild.
Transmission - 2001 4L60 Automatic
Transfer Case - NP233 with slip yoke eliminator kit installed. Driveshaft from NP233 to 14 Bolt
Rear Axle - 14 Bolt Chevy with disc brakes, stock shafts, full spool, Ballistic Fab Shave kit installed, new 5.38 gears from East Coast Gear, full rebuild kit. Ballistic Fab pinion yoke protection (shovel) and 1410 pinion yoke.
Front Axle - GM 2500 9.25 ifs front diff with new 5.38 gears, a Powertrax Lock Rite locker, H2 AWD one piece shaft 33 spline. New extended axles/joints/boots for GM 2500.
Rear Suspension - New 63 Chevy leaves, new shackles and bushings & traction bar.
Front Suspension - Custom long travel IFS A arms, Ballisitic Fab Uniballs drilled out to 1 hardware, Maxx Suspension adjustable torsion keys and set up for 10 coilovers, Fabtech cradle, shock mounts.
Steering - Full PSC kit for hydro assist including: Power steering pump, reservoir, orbital, PSC power steering pump (ported), PSC Ram 6 3/4 stroke, fluid cooler. (Front steering uses BEEFY DOM tubing for strength, same design as Cognito uses but much larger and heavier wall tube and heims.)
Brakes - Upgraded, larger brake booster installed.
Safety - Racequip Net mounts and Nets with GM buckle style
Misc - New aluminum radiator, beefy steel rear bumper, cold air intake, shock hoops for coilovers, grill & headlights from 2000 Blazer, etc.
Summary...it needs a roll cage, engine needs to be ran, tuned & broken in, needs 10 coilovers for the front & shocks for the rear, front bumper and winch mount built, etc. . Over $25k was spent to get it to this point. This could be a 4600 car or just a fun recreational wheeler. Title in hand
