Meet Suede!

Suede is a spayed female Terrier/Poodle mixwho is not even 2 years old. Though her beautiful gray coat gives her a more mature look, she is still a young girl at heart, mind, and body.

Suede came to our rescue from a high-kill shelter after being surrendered by her owner. Because of her past, she can be a little slow to warm up and may have experience trauma at a young age.

But then, there are some people her goofy lowrider self will take a liking to and shimmy her way right into your heart with no hesitation. She will need a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to move at her pace and help her feel safe, realizing just like people, sometimes she needs a bit of space, sometimes she needs a snuggle!

Suede would do best in a calm, but fun, home with no young children, where her boundaries can be respected. With time, consistency, gentle love, and definitely lots of laughs, she has the potential to build trust and form a deep, meaningful bond with her person.

Suede does fine with other small dogs IF- they don't mind Suede being the attention hog. Suede has no issue nudging another dog right off the couch onto the floor if they are getting affection and she's not. We are pretty sure Suede can "hear" affection from the other end of the house. She will come running to take her rightful spot at the head of the throne to get and pats on the head. It's like her Super Power.
