It no longer spins or agitates after filling with water. It runs the whole cycle, draining the water, but doesn't spin or agitate. This happened about 2-3 months ago and we simply replaced the WH12X10334 Washer Lid Switch--an off-brand version from online for about $10. We tried the same thing this week with a generic new lid switch and it did not work this time. I ordered the GE OEM version to see if that would help. I have not tried that yet, since we decided to get a new washer when I saw the rust and small puddle of water underneath the drum. I'm not sure what caused the rust or water. There has not been any water under the washer on the floor. We're giving the washer away. The $30 is to cover the GE version part (you can add $10 if you want to pay for shipping) for someone to hopefully have a functional washer for a while. I fear the control board may be bad now instead, or something else. appliancepartspros.com has good tips for fixing these. If it is just the lid switch, it is a very easy fix.
