5 year old 1/4 Percheron 3/4 quarter horse gelding. 15.3 hands. Tom is a good boy and a gentleman to be around. No spook, no buck. Solid bone and built tough.
He has spent a lot of time in the mountains and in the branding pen. Does well in all aspects of ranch work, roping, and dragging calves. Strong, kind, and dependable. Good with our kids and dogs. Does great as a pack horse and has packed extensively in the Frank Church. He's picking up neck reining and responds to leg pressure. My kids ride him around the arena while being led. The only negatives I have found with him is that he can be on the lazy side if given the opportunity and is not the most athletic horse in the bunch. Tom is a diesel truck- not a sports car.
Being offered for sale due to life circumstances. I would keep him if I had the space. I want him to go to someone who will appreciate what he is and who has the time for him. I have been gentle with Tom from day one, and I know that he will make someone an awesome horse.
