VenmoIt’s been a difficult decision, but due to a change in circumstances we are looking for the right home for our sweet dog, Lucy. We love her very much and want to find a situation where she can feel safe, comfortable, and truly thrive. Any fee will be waived for the right home/family.
**About Lucy:**Lucy is a 3-year-old miniature poodle mix (spayed and vaccinated) with a fun, playful personality once she feels at home. She loves playing fetch, going for car rides, running around at the park, and happily crunching on carrots. With the people she knows and trusts, she is affectionate, loyal, and happiest curled up next to you for a good snuggle.
Her strengths:• Crate trained and fully potty trained • Very smart and highly trainable • Great companion once she bonds with you • Enjoys both playtime and relaxing at home • Does well being left alone—no separation issues
**Things to be aware of:**We want to be upfront so Lucy finds the best possible fit: • She is anxious around strangers and will bark to guard her space and her people • She does best with slow, intentional introductions to new people • We’ve successfully managed barking with a bark collar • Grooming can be challenging, though we’ve found a groomer who works well with her • She tends to be cautious and somewhat reserved around other dogs
**Ideal home:**Because of Lucy's special needs, she would do best in a calm home with an owner who understands anxious or protective dogs and is willing to continue working with her. A lower-traffic home (fewer new people coming and going) would help her feel more secure.
She is a loving, loyal companion who just needs the right environment to feel safe and shine. We are committed to finding her the right match and are happy to answer any questions.
