Pugsly came dangerously close to losing his life due to severe damage to his eye—but in the very last moments, he was saved and rushed to the vet for the care he desperately needed. His eye has since been removed, and now he’s on the road to a full recovery.

And here’s the best part—Pugsly is doing amazing. Dogs are incredibly resilient, and he’s already showing that he’ll do just fine as a one-eyed pup. In fact, now that he’s no longer in pain, he’s learning how to just be a happy, carefree dog again. It’s like he’s discovering joy for the very first time.

Because he’s been on medical quarantine to heal, he hasn’t had the chance to play with other dogs yet—but from everything we’ve seen, he doesn’t appear to have any issues with them. What we do know for sure is that he absolutely loves people, including kids. His heart is wide open and ready to connect.
