ApplePayI am selling my Kala All Solid Salt & Pepper Doghair Mahogany Concert Ukulele (KA-SDH-C). I don’t really want to sell it but I am just out of space and I don’t have any room for more ukuleles.
I bought this ukulele in December of 2025 and I have kept it in either a humidified case or humidified cabinet the entire time. Always been kept in a smoke-free environment. I have played it a bit but given the number of my ukuleles this one is in excellent to like-new condition.
This ukulele is made of all solid mahogany—front, back and sides. Brand new this is $330, but I bought it at a discount as a “BLEM”. This means there was a cosmetic flaw on the ukulele. I looked all around and I found two small blemishes. First, there is a slight little imperfection on the back of the headstock. Second, there is a streak across the upper left bout of the back of the body. You can only see it in certain light and it is hardly noticeable. Other than that this ukulele is in excellent condition.
The doghair finish is actually really unique and really cool (again I don’t want to part with this ukulele and if I had room I would keep it). The all solid mahogany build gives it the signature warm mahogany sound that is associated with mahogany instruments.
I strung this with Fremont black fluorocarbon strings with a low G. The strings are very smooth and fluorocarbon strings are always better than the stock Aquilas that it came with. Plus the black strings look really cool on salt and pepper doghair appearance.
Comes with a gig bag.
