Angelina is one of my personal favorites in the barn. She is amusing, athletic, and honest in her work, the kind of mare that keeps things interesting without feeling unpredictable.
She shines out on the trail and in open spaces. She is forward, sure-footed, and very comfortable moving out. I have used her to gallop alongside students while coaching cross-country, and she stays with you mentally while covering ground easily. She has a “can-do” attitude and enjoys having a job. I have used to pony colts, work cows, and she crosses water, although if it's been awhile she may need to give it a dirty look first.
That said, she is not a horse for everyone. Angelina is best suited for an experienced rider who enjoys a forward, responsive horse and wants a partner rather than a passenger ride. She is not appropriate for beginners, timid riders, or those looking for a once-a-week walk-only trail horse.
She is currently not in work due to life changes on my end, which is reflected in her price. With consistent riding, she comes back into work well, but she does require a rider who understands bringing a horse back thoughtfully.
She has had one foal and was a straightforward, uncomplicated broodmare. She is up to date on routine care including farrier and vaccinations.
This is a mare with personality, ability, and a lot to offer in the right situation. A good match matters to me, and I am happy to talk through that with serious inquiries. I would consider lease to own with lessons as an option.
