This car seat says it's rated for 4-65 lbs. We used it when our child was 1-4 years old. It can be rear facing for smaller babies and front facing for larger toddlers - that's the "convertible" part. All positions and parts still function correctly. If we had more children, we would still be using it. We have loved it. It sells new for $240. Here is a link to buy it new.
