The battery has been charged and drained regularly, to ensure a long healthy battery life. I own this unit because I used to work for Goal Zero. I really trust their quality and service! Super durable units. Light scuffs on top, but that's it. Otherwise still in perfect working condition! It hurts a little to let go of the unit; as it's gotten me through rough times.
