A mid-90's entry-level 35mm autofocus SLR film camera. Designed to bridge the gap for beginners stepping into the world of SLR photography, it features a unique push-button digital interface instead of traditional mechanical dials. It is widely recognized today as an incredibly affordable, capable entry point for amateur film enthusiasts.
I haven't used it for at least 10 years. I have no intention of going to the trouble of film-testing it, but slap a battery in it and everything seems to work (shutter, exposure system, auto-focus, etc.).
Cosmetically it's excellent. The viewfinder is clean and the rubber grips aren't sticky.
Has Nikon soft strap and lens front cap.
A battery is not included. I only have one old battery (non-rechargeable 2CR5 lithium) and I need it to test and demo another camera that uses the same type. I will demo the camera to potential buyers but the battery stays.
It has a built-in flash as well as a standard hotshoe for external units.
I checked eBay and the average SOLD price for a working N50 w/lens was $49.80! And the vast majority of those had not been film-tested either. So buy local and save!
See below for basic specs and technical details.
