2018 Palomino Gelding “Renni”
I have owned Renni since 2020, when he was just 2 years old, and he has become one of the most versatile, trustworthy, and fun horses I’ve ever had the privilege of owning.
Renni is cow-bred and goes back to the well-known Hollywood Dun It and Smart Little Lena bloodlines, known for producing exceptional reining and all-around horses. He started with approximately 6 months of professional reining training and still confidently knows all the maneuvers — spins, pivots, lead changes, and slide stops. He is easy to ride, soft in the face, and has a great stop!
I currently run him in barrels and he is running consistent 4D times, occasionally placing in the 3D–5D. He CAN run both directions. I currently take him left. He has earned over $2,500 LTE in barrels over the past two years. Besides barrels he really is the ultimate all around horse. He has: • Roped, sorted, and worked cattle confidently • Been hauled consistently to local barrel races and events • Trail ridden extensively — crosses water, swims, handles rough terrain, and even jumps • Has proven to be safe and dependable enough for my 2-year-old to ride, while still having plenty of athletic ability when asked.
Because of his versatility and great mind, I think he would make an incredible 4-H, high school rodeo, ranch riding, or fun all-around horse for someone wanting something easy going without needing a super competitive horse.
He stands tied, hauls great, bathes well, and is as broke and honest as they come. I can confidently put just about anyone on him.
He is up to date on vaccines and dental work, and will have fresh shoes next week. He is also scheduled for maintenance on June 3rd with Kyle Heaton at South Valley Equine. Anyone is welcome to join!
As far as maintenance goes, he does require routine maintenance, which includes hock injections and a front right ankle injection. I am happy to fully discuss his maintenance history and provide veterinary information to serious buyers.
I have lots of photos and videos available of him barrel racing, roping cattle, trail riding, reining, and more. I’m also happy to let interested buyers try him at local arenas or even during time-only runs.
Because he means so much to me, I will be very selective about where he goes. Finding the right home is my absolute priority.
