This aircraft spent most of its life hangared in Idaho. No damage history, corrosion, or hail, February annual inspection. In addition to flying it 300 hours in the last two years, we've incurred substantial expense and shop downtime making this the perfect 182 for what we thought would be a long-term ownership proposition. Fortunately for its new owner, there should be very little remaining on the wishlist. While 182s are the perfect blend of utility, simplicity, and low cost of ownership, we are a T210 family at heart and I've made a recent purchase to replace the 182.
This has been an amazing aircraft for exploring the Intermountain West - an 1172lb useful load, 78 gallons useable fuel, 130KTAS on 11-12 GPH fine-tuned with the Garmin engine monitor. A superb instrument or VFR platform. Reasonable insurance rates (I pay $1500/year with a 250/1500/17,000 hour pilot on policy). This 182P (her name is Greta) has been an outstanding all-around aircraft for the three pilots in our family.
More pictures and digitized logs available on request.
