I have 170 gallon pond filled with fish that I’ve had for almost 2 years and their babies. This is only free to someone who is willing to slowly drain it and save all the fish inside as well as take all the supplies.
I have some of my absolute favorite fish In here, but since finding out I was pregnant, I haven’t been able to maintain it at all. The smell of fish makes me throw up.
There is a slow leak at the drainage hole that needs to be resealed, I’ve just been topping it off.
Inside I have a school of peppered corydoras. Two of them are large females who have helped me grow the school to probably 12-15. I’ve raised over 10 batches of babies from them and sold plenty. They are excellent breeders and can help you start breeding Cories for profit.
I have a school of (I think) 8 white cloud mountain minnows. Two females and 6 males. All raised from fry- so I didn’t know the genders. They’d benefit from a few more females for sure, but it’s large enough they don’t have issues.
Lastly, I have two adult orange medka rice fish (a male and female) and around 20 of their babies growing out. A few of the babies are silver and some are mixed colors. They’ll be a beautiful group once grown out.
There are also shrimp and snails inside.
I’m only giving this to someone who will put in the effort to save all the fish and possibly transfer them to other tanks. This is more for someone who breeds fish to sell and sees the potential in this hefty job.
The “pond” is filled with plants and mopani wood, as well as a piece of spider wood with moss attached. All for free if someone has the time to drain it and save everyone. It’s in a sunny area and has started to fill with algae. I put in a UV filter a few days ago which is included. Has two large sponge filters and a heater.
It’s no small project, but will be worth it if someone has the time.
