ApplePayKeep Your Largest Canadian Bills Or USA Dollars Intact To Exchange Back Into U.S. Dollars
Estate Sale from family extensive Canadian Travels and employment.
I have filled up ziplocked to sell bags of older $100 in Canadian coins at the current exchange rates or the most common rate of $75 (that saves you the 10%+ bank currency exchange fees).
About 90% of the money is quarters, then dimes and nickels.
Much of the coins are in early dated Canadian Bank heavy tan paper crimp rolls from 1922 to 1975 when grandpa retired. (Rolls have a date rolled stamp). We have not opened them and are deciding if we should remove all the silver dimes, quarters, 50 Cent and Dollar coins for melting.
If you’re traveling in Canada with Canadian currency, take $100 In Canadian coins to prevent breaking up your large Canadian bills into many smaller bills and change.
Your twenty dollar bills and larger currency will remain intact.
You will also save double exchange fees (back and forth) for that $100 in Canadian coins.
If you pay for Canadian goods with US Dollars and receive Canadian dollars and change back, those ‘exchange fees’ usually exceed 30%.
That means you only get $12 in USA value for every USA $20 you spend!
I have Canadian Copper Pennies that are not part of this $100 face value sale for $75 U.S. Dollars. Many sell for $3 to over $10 each. Numismatic collectors pay much more than 1 cent each for their copper and collecting values.
Just like USA copper Pennies, Rolls of Canadian Pennies are over $5 per roll. Since Canada discontinued minting Pennies, they became legal to melt into copper bullion; but their numismatic value has skyrocketed.
KSL Classifieds makes it easy to buy and sell with peace of mind. Check our safety tips and quickly report anything that doesn’t look right to keep your experience smooth and secure.
