VenmoDESIRABLE 350 CHEVY SMALL BLOCK – 461 DOUBLE HUMP HEADS – HOLLEY – ALUMINUM INTAKE – ROLLER ROCKERS – SHAFT MOUNTED – GEAR-DRIVE TIMING SET Chevrolet 350 small block V8 recently removed from a 1969 Camaro Z 28 Tribute. Engine casting date is October 27, 1969 Engine assembly December 18, 1969
The engine came from a beautiful red and black 1969 Camaro and was a running, driving combination when removed. I will include photos of the Camaro it came out of so buyers can see the quality of the vehicle it was powering.
ENGINE INFORMATION
Block Casting Number: 3970010
Front Stamp: V1218TBZ
Flint Engine Plant Assembly
The 3970010 block is one of Chevrolet’s most sought-after small block castings and has been used in countless performance builds over the years.
Cylinder Heads: 3782461 “461” Double Hump / Camel Hump Heads
Casting Date: J 4 5
These are the legendary fuelie-style double hump heads that hot rodders have been using for decades. The smaller combustion chambers provide increased compression compared to typical truck heads and are highly desirable for street performance applications.
VISIBLE PERFORMANCE UPGRADES INCLUDE:
• 461 Double Hump Heads • Aluminum Dual Plane Intake Manifold • Holley 4 Barrel Carburetor • HEI Electronic Distributor • Roller Rocker Arms • Gear Drive Timing Set • Chrome Valve Covers
Based on the components visible on the engine, it appears to have been built as a street-performance engine with great low end torque.
While I have never had this engine on a dyno and cannot guarantee horsepower, experienced Chevrolet enthusiasts will recognize that this combination is substantially upgraded from a stock truck 350. The double hump heads, roller rockers, aluminum intake, Holley carburetor, HEI ignition, and gear drive all point toward a performance-oriented build.
CONDITION
• Used engine • Running take-out when removed • Sold as-is due to age and performance modifications • Recommend normal inspection and tune-up prior to installation • No warranty expressed or implied
This would be an excellent candidate for:
• 1967-1969 Camaro • 1968-1974 Nova • Chevelle • El Camino • C10 Pickup • Street Rod • Muscle Car Restoration • Hot Rod Project
If you’ve been looking for a period-correct performance small block with desirable double hump heads and traditional hot rod upgrades, this is a great opportunity.
