We are trying to rehome our sweet dog Leia due to her medical condition. Leia is a fun loving Australian shepherd mix. She is 2 years old with lots of love and affection to give. She enjoys long walks, stuffies, and lots of pets. She is great with other dogs and with people and kids. Leia was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy in February after a few seizures that started last September. She has since been medicated in hopes of stabilizing her condition and spacing her seizures out.
My husband and I are unable to afford the time and money it will take to continue to treat her and due to my mental/physical health struggles, we are hoping to find her a home that can give her the love and support she needs. We have tried multiple humane societies and rescues with no success and want to avoid surrendering her to a city shelter. Leia is truly the sweetest dog and will be a great companion to those who are willing. She is free to a good home. Preferably somewhere with a dog park, balcony or yard that she can lounge around in the sun in.
