Venmo2018 model grade Quarter Horse gelding standing a compact and sturdy 14 hands. He is an absolute sweetheart, highly intelligent, and incredibly athletic—he just needs someone with the time to finish him out. He is being sold simply because we have too many horses on the feed bill right now and we cannot give him the time and miles he truly deserves under saddle. He was previously ridden primarily as a trail horse and has also done some arena work, packed, and has had a rope swung around him. He has a fantastic, ground-covering walk and can easily out-walk most other horses—he is definitely not a lazy horse and has plenty of "go" when asked. He has been sitting for about a year, so he is being sold as a project needing more time under saddle. He is very smart and wants to please, but he can get spooked and bolt if he's unsure. He is not a mean horse; he simply needs a confident, experienced rider who can calmly reassure him, refocus his attention on the job, and guide him through his green moments. Because of this, he is not for beginners or timid riders. His groundwork is 100% done. He is fantastic in the round pen and has had a rope thrown all over him on the ground. He trailers like a champ. In the pasture, he is the perfect middle-of-the-road guy—not a dominant bully, but not the bottom of the pecking order either.
