VenmoLooking to pass on my 2016 Ducati Scrambler Icon. I bought this bike back in 2018 with just 1,200 miles on it, making me the second owner. It currently has right around 5,000 miles on the odometer and has run flawlessly the entire time I’ve owned it. The Backstory & Condition Most of this bike's life has been split between Price, UT (where everything is less than 5 miles away) and bi-weekly coastal loop runs out of Laytonville, CA (doing the 77-mile Highway 1 / Branscomb Road loop). Because I frequently ride solo in areas with absolutely zero cell service, mechanical reliability was my number one priority. I completely trust this bike with my life—it has been incredibly reliable and never skipped a beat. When it's not on the road, it lives in a temperature-controlled garage. It’s clean, healthy, and ready to ride. Recent Maintenance (Done right at 3,500 miles): I take care of my gear, and this bike has been maintained with top-shelf components: Engine: Fresh oil change done at 3,500 miles using high-quality Motul oil and a fresh filter. Brakes: Brand new brake pads installed and the brake fluid was completely flushed/bled at the same time. Ducati Valve Service: Because it’s only sitting at 5,000 total miles, it is still well under the factory-recommended 7,500-mile interval for the standard Ducati Desmo valve clearance service. You've got plenty of worry-free riding left before needing to think about it. Upgrades & Extras Included Upgraded Exhaust & Seat: Currently fitted with a great aftermarket exhaust and a solo seat. Stock Parts Included: I have the original factory exhaust (nice and quiet for long-distance touring) and the original stock seat (perfect if you want to carry a passenger). Both are incredibly easy to swap back on in 10 minutes or less. Bonus Rear Tire: The current rear tire is getting a bit low, so I am throwing in a brand-new unmounted rear tire with the sale. You'll have it ready to go the second you need a swap. Why I'm Selling I am relocating to Salt Lake City. While the Scrambler is technically an awesome, nimble bike for city riding, urban commuting just isn't my style. I prefer open country roads, so I've decided it’s time to move it on to someone who will really enjoy it. Key Specs & Features (2016 Icon) Engine: \bm{803\text{cc}} L-Twin, desmodromic distribution, 2 valves per cylinder, air-cooled Power: \bm{75\text{ hp}} @ 8,250 RPM / \bm{50\text{ lb-ft}} of torque @ 5,750 RPM Transmission: 6-speed with APTC wet multiplate clutch (super light pull at the lever) Weight: Incredibly light and easy to handle (~375 lbs dry / 410 lbs wet) Suspension: Kayaba 41mm inverted forks & rear monoshock with preload adjustment Brakes: Brembo braking system with Bosch Two-Channel ABS as a standard safety feature Fuel Capacity: 3.57 gallons Icon Features: Classic teardrop steel fuel tank with interchangeable aluminum side panels, comfortable upright riding ergonomics, and an under-seat USB storage compartment. Location & Transaction Details Bike Location: The bike is currently located in Salt Lake City for easy viewing, though I am personally based out of Price, UT. Showings: My friend is local to SLC and is handling the garage showings, start-ups, and the paperwork handover for me. Once you message me here, we will coordinate a time for you to meet up with him to see it. Price: $4,800 (Firm). The bike books at $5,100 and comes with a brand-new extra tire and all factory parts, so it is priced to sell. My friend cannot negotiate on the price. If you have any final questions or offers, they must be done directly through me over messaging. Payment: Cash is king, but we can also use Venmo if needed to finalize the sale. Test Rides: Welcome, but only with a valid motorcycle endorsement on your license and the full asking price (Cash/Venmo) left in my friend's hand while you ride. Clean title is ready to go. Drop me a message and we'll get a showing set up!
