VenmoWe have some White Leghorn Hens for sale. They are just 4 months old and have not yet begun to lay, but should start laying soon. This breed is a powerhouse egg layer. They lay around 325 LARGE WHITE eggs a year. This is the breed that lays the type of eggs from the grocery store. They are known as a flighty breed, but we have made an effort to interact with them as much as possible to help them be less flighty and nervous around humans. They are some of our more cautious birds when it comes to treats. They will often hold back to see if the other birds enjoy it before they will approach us…but they will eventually approach us because they love treats. They still struggle to eat out of our hands, but will quickly pick up anything from the ground that the other birds drop from our hands. This breed tends to be great at foraging. They are a bit of a loner bird and are often very content to do their own thing, rather than interact with humans. They are friendly, but just not the snuggliest breed. These are one the introvert breeds of the chicken world.
