Brownie is a very easy going 7-year-old Gelding. SEE VIDEOS He stands about 15.1 hands and is very athletic. He is the ultimate 4-h, events, adult riding club, western pleasure, queen, and even high school rodeo horse. He is very willing to go but is always underneath you and under control. He reins very well and even neck reins in a lope. He knows the barrels and poles, and we’ve kept him slow on the pattern so far, but he does them both very well (speed could be easily implemented). He has never bucked and is a pleasure to ride. He is exceptional in the mountains, does not bock or spook at anything. We ride him around town with giant construction rigs, tractors, machinery, you name it, and he does extremely well and is safe. We even ride him through the drive thru and he handles the cars speeding past him (we do not have sidewalks where we live, so there is no “separation”). He would really fit an experienced kid that is looking for their next level horse or any adult that loves to do a little bit of everything. He is great at team penning and likes cows. He has been to rodeos around flags, wagons, ropers lol – swinging ropes, commotion, horses running everywhere, etc. He has participated in serpentine at the rodeo, so he has been in the arena with the stock chutes full, giant speakers, lights, music, and sold-out stadiums. You do not need spurs on this horse, he is willing to give you his body and pays attention to your touch and what you are asking for. He knows his leads, lead changes, etc. based on you putting the correct pressure on his body, he is very soft. He rides out alone with no issues. He does not have more whoa than go but is very much under control and will not run off on you. He gets along well with other horses and has no funny business on the trails. He loads in the trailer well, is good to shoe, and he is one of the smoothest horses that I have ever ridden – he is a complete pleasure to ride. He is friendly on the ground and extremely respectful. He takes a minute to trust you on the ground, but once he does, he is in your pocket.
