ZelleFigs is a 16 year old FROSTED blood bay roan which means she is always roaned, no matter the season, as it is actually a mutated Appaloosa coat pattern. She is such a fun little mare (~14HH) and has been an absolute joy to have in my lesson program. She has packed the littlest kids to cowboy-ed it up on huge multi-day camping trips and even participated in the 2025 Antelope Island Bison Round Up! She is originally from a ranch out in Missouri where she was a pack horse and taught beginner lessons before finding her way to Utah. I love her get up and go which makes her perfect for anyone looking for the perfect adventure buddy. She is very sensitive in her mouth so no need for anything more than a snaffle or a bosal. She does have a quick turn but no competitive background that I know of.
Kind of does everything: traffic broke, ties, trailers, saddles/bridles, previous people shoed her, crossed water/deadfall, great pony horse, will ride from barn with minimal encouragement, … Never bucked or did anything with any sort of malicious intent.
Does not like loud, sharp noises (when we trail ride past a shooting range she can get very nervous over the guns unless with another very confident horse). Is generally middle to higher up on the pecking order in a herd setting. Currently out on pasture with no problems.
