Up for sale is this incredible version of a Rick Turner Renaissance RS-6 (steel string).
Built in 2000, this guitar has the more original electronics designed by Bob Wolstien, with the incredible 18V preamp powered by two 9V batteries. The electronics also have an onboard volume and tone control by the neck joint.
To the best of my knowledge, the top is cedar, the sides and back are walnut, and the neck is mahogany. It's a beautiful combination of woods that you only find on the really expensive models.
The top is a beautiful gloss finish, and the sides and neck are a nice satin finish. The body is bound with faux tortoise which compliments the peghead overlay, and the neck features paua shell style inlays for both the top and side fret position markers.
The neck plays fast like a great electric guitar with the nut measuring approximately 1.69" and a string spacing of about 2.15" (2 and 1/16").
The guitar just came back from the Turner shop where the input jack was replaced and the rest of the electronics were verified. It sounds lovely, and the action is set at 0.70" on the low E string at the 12th fret for effortless playing. You may decide to adjust it to fit your own playing style.
The guitar is in very good to excellent condition.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
