Exceptional 100% Valais Blacknose ram lamb available. This boy has outstanding breed character with excellent conformation, beautiful wool, and nearly perfect traditional markings. He is simply too nice to castrate and has excellent breeding potential.
He is a bottle baby, and because of that I will be very selective about his placement. He will only be sold to an experienced sheep owner who already has sheep and has experience managing rams.
Bottle-raised rams in some breeds can become more assertive because they often don’t develop the same natural respect for humans. While Valais Blacknose sheep are generally known for their friendly, gentle personalities, any ram deserves respect and proper handling. You should never turn your back on a ram, regardless of breed or temperament.
This ram is not available as a first sheep or for someone without livestock experience. His welfare and placement are my top priorities.
