Most capable fishing pontoon you'll find | $16,000 package deal
This killer fishing pontoon has already been out multiple times this year — slayed kokanee and macs at Flaming Gorge over Memorial Day, and most recently we were dropping on catfish and walleye at Willard Bay. The Humminbird Helix 9 G4N with Mega Side Imaging was lighting up the bottom, showing us exactly where to spot-lock and vertical drop. You just tap the screen or remote, the Terrova Spot Locks you in, and you're fishing within seconds.
You run out to your spot on the Suzuki DF30 four-stroke, cut the motor, and the lake goes quiet. No engine noise, no distraction — just you, the water, and some music from the stereo if you want it. I can't overstate enough how great it is to fish with no engine noise whatsoever, perfectly calm and peaceful, interrupted only by the rush of hooking fish.
The Minn Kota Terrova 36V takes over completely, holding GPS position or trolling at a perfect 2.3 mph while the Helix 9 paints the picture below. Spot-lock, autopilot, contour following, iTrack, all the advanced GPS enabled features — the Terrova and Helix 9 are fully networked and work together in ways a basic trolling motor setup simply can't touch.
Four downriggers on board — two Cannon Digi-Troll electrics and two manual. Run all four at once and cover the water column. Four additional rod holders for trolling crankbaits or running planer boards. Additionally, the boat has vertical and horizontal rod holders for 14 stowed rods.
The electrical system was built to last a full day on the water without thinking about it. Three LiFePO4 batteries run the 36V trolling bank and are charged by a NOCO GenPro 10x4, and a separate 280Ah LiFePO4 house battery powers everything else, kept topped off by a 65A onboard charger and the Suzuki alternator.
All four LiFePO4 batteries have Bluetooth monitoring — you always know exactly where your charge stands, no surprises. When the day is done, plug into shore power or fire up the onboard inverter generator to charge both banks simultaneously. The generator is there if you need it on the water too, but honestly the batteries outlast a full day of fishing without breaking a sweat.
This gear alone retails for over $8,000 new.
The boat itself is more spacious than you'd expect. Eight feet wide, seats for 10, pump-powered circulating livewell at the bow that doubles as a casting seat, plus a second removable casting seat up front. Full under-seat storage throughout. The pontoon bench seats are genuinely comfortable — there's room to stretch out, relax between bites, and actually enjoy being on the water. This thing fishes hard but it feels more roomy and comfy than any other 16 foot boat.
Karavan trailer included with new tires and bearings as of last fall. Suzuki DF30 fully serviced this spring. Working sound system. Bimini top. Clean Utah title for boat and trailer.
Only selling because I have a second boat and no room to store them both. I'm selling both then upgrading to a tritoon.
Check out my other listing for a killer wakesurf boat.
Boat, Suzuki motor and trailer only: $10,500. Full package with all gear as described: $16,000. Roy, UT.
