The table is supported by an intricate, heavy wrought-iron base. The iron is meticulously textured, cast, and patinated into a "trompe l’oeil" (trick of the eye) design that beautifully mimics realistic horse-bridle leather, complete with decorative equestrian straps, detailed buckles, and ring joints.
