VenmoAntique Edwardian Whitework Embroidered Sheer Skirt c.1905–1915 White No Listed Size
Exquisite antique Edwardian whitework embroidered skirt dating to approximately 1905–1915. Crafted from sheer cotton lawn or net, this piece features floral embroidery throughout, ornate openwork medallions, and an embroidered lace insertion band above a gathered tiered flounce hem.
The skirt fastens at the side with an antique metal clasp closure and has an open side seam placket beneath for dressing. It was acquired alongside a coordinating embroidered Edwardian blouse believed to date from the same period.
Condition: Antique condition with multiple scattered brown stains/spots, minor imperfections, and delicate fabric consistent with age. The embroidered details remain beautifully intact overall. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description and condition report. As is common with antique garments, the waistband appears to have been modified during its lifetime and includes elastic believed to be a later addition.
A lovely piece for antique textile collectors, historical costume enthusiasts, bridal styling, or display. Likely preserved together for decades, this skirt remains a lovely example of Edwardian whitework craftsmanship.
