It breaks my heart to write this, but I am looking for the perfect home for my sweet girl, Star. Star is a 20-year-young Tennessee Walking Horse who has been an incredible partner and teacher. She has helped me learn so much about riding and has given me countless wonderful memories. When I purchased her, I was told she had some arthritis in her hind legs, but it has never caused issues for me as long as she stayed consistently ridden and conditioned. Star has enjoyed mountain trail rides, arena work, and even learning a slow lope through the barrel pattern. She has a wonderful disposition and is about as kind as they come. She does not kick, bite, or have any bucking issues, and she gets along well with other horses. As she's gotten older, she's become a little slower behind, and I am looking to step up to something different. Because of that, I think Star would make a fantastic walk-trot horse for a child, a confidence builder for a beginner, or a wonderful horse for grandkids to hop on and enjoy. She has happily carried kids bareback around the property and loves attention. Recently, she lost some weight after being picked on by other horses in her pasture, but we moved her to a different pen and she's already gaining condition back and looking stronger every day. Star is truly my heart horse, and this is not a decision I'm making lightly. I am looking for a loving family where she will be cherished and spoiled just as much as she has been here. Finding the right home is far more important to me than anything else, and I will be selective about where she goes.
