Two thick, well-insulated self-inflating pads that turn any tent floor into a real bed. I originally bought these to make camping as comfortable as possible for my wife — and they delivered. Strap a pair together and you have a cozy queen-size platform you can actually snuggle on. You’ll never feel rocks, roots, or cold ground.
What’s included
Pair 2 – REI Camp Bed 3.5 XL (2 pads)
- Size: 78″ × 29″ × 3.5″ thick
- R-value 7.0
- Soft non-slip top fabric, abrasion-resistant bottom, fast-flow valve
- Original retail ≈ $120–$130 each
All accessories come with them:
- Original stuff sacks
- Compression / connecting straps (so you can make a queen bed)
- Repair kits (need a new tube of glue)
- Heavy-duty Kirkham Outdoor Products canvas duffle bag (I’m throwing this in free — solid local SLC brand, roughly $25 when new). Perfect for keeping each pair organized and protected.
Condition: Excellent. Lightly used, always stored clean and dry, well cared for. No leaks, no major wear.
Value check
Original combined retail for the two pads + bags was roughly $240–$360. Modern equivalents (current REI Camp Dreamer XL, Therm-a-Rest LuxuryMap-style pads, Exped MegaMat, etc.) still run $180–$300+ per pad for similar thickness and insulation. You’re getting proven, high-comfort car-camping pads at a fraction of that price.
