VenmoRed is our beautiful solid ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with an outstanding temperament and a gorgeous, rich coat. He is a proven stud, weighs approximately 13 pounds, and consistently produces beautiful puppies.
Beyond his good looks, Red is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He is incredibly affectionate, loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is fantastic with children. He has a calm, loving personality but also enjoys running and playing with his canine siblings around our yard.
Health Testing
Red has been genetically tested and is a single carrier of Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). For responsible breeding, we ask that your female be tested and confirmed not to be a carrier of DM before scheduling a breeding.
Preparing Your Female
To give your breeding the best chance of success, we strongly recommend:
- Progesterone testing to accurately determine the optimal breeding window.\
- A reproductive health examination by your veterinarian before breeding to ensure your female is healthy and able to breed safely.
We’ve occasionally seen females with reproductive issues that prevented natural breeding, and a pre-breeding exam can help identify these concerns ahead of time.
Artificial Insemination (AI)
If this is your female’s first breeding, we highly recommend Artificial Insemination (AI). AI is often less stressful for the female and generally provides a higher success rate than natural breeding.
Several experienced reproductive veterinarians in our area offer both AI and Transcervical Insemination (TCI), with TCI providing the highest conception rates when appropriate.
