Mapex Percussion Technology Venus5000 Series

Looking at archived catalogues, the kit appears to be the **1993 MPX5200 model/configuration**. (It was the DX, but the only difference I can see is an extra cymbal for which I don't have an extra stand.)

It's well-used but functions just as well as when I got it, besides the hi-hat clutch, which is missing. The snare throw off switch doesn't work, just wiggles, but it might be an easy fix--I've never tried. The snare's stand is not included. The toms came without bottom/resonant heads, making them akin to concert toms. I've replaced the heads once and still have the originals if you'd like them, though you'd need to get rims elsewhere.

Dimensions:

• Bass: diameter 22”, 24” with rim and bolts. Depth about 16”, 20.375” with rim and bolts.

• Floor Tom: Diameter 16”, 16.5” with rim, 17.5” with bolts. Depth 16”. Leg length 22.125”. Max height 33”.

• Tom tom: Diameter 13”, 14.5” with rim and bolts. Depth 11”.

• Rack tom: Diameter 12”, 13.5” with rim and bolts. Depth 10”.

• Snare drum is Venus Chromium 1992 model S465DH: Diameter 12". Depth 6.5”, 7.125” with rims. (Stand excluded)

• Tom arms: total length 21”, long end 15”.

Heads:

• Snare: Evans Level 360 EC Reverse DOT (batter) and Mapex (resonant)

• Toms: Attack drumheads 1 Ply Medium

• Bass: Remo Weather King C.S. Bass Drum (batter); Attack 1 Ply No Overtone (resonant)

Additional:

• Short cymbal arm: 11”

• Mapex hi-hat stand and pedal: footboard length 13”; height about 43”. The stand is missing parts of the drop clutch.

• Yamaha Professional Model kick pedal: total length 14.5”, width 8"; footboard length 11”, width 3.25"; height w/ beater 12.75”.

• Your choice of 2 pairs of sticks from a selection: Whitehall 5B with a spare, Eastrock 5A, Nova 5A, Promark TX5AW. Or you may also have a spare Vic Firth SD1 General if you have a use for it.

• Bundle options:
