7 year old gelding, approximately 12 hands, and a really nice size for a kid or smaller adult. Charlie is a very kind, calm, and easygoing pony. He saddles up nicely, has a soft feel on the reins, and a nice stop. He walks and trots well under saddle, and I've been riding him around with no issues. He does not buck or kick, and he gets along well with other horses. He rides both English and western and does excellent at bareback too.
Charlie does have a little bit of personality and can sometimes be difficult to catch, but other times you can walk right up to him. I believe he may have had some rough experiences in his past, so he can be a little untrusting at first. I have only been working with him for a few days and he has already become noticeably more trusting and easier to handle. With consistency and patience, I think he is going to continue coming along really nicely.
He would be a great fit for a handy kid, lead line, 4H, rodeo, trail riding, or just a fun all around pony. With a little consistency, he would be an excellent lesson pony. He has a lot of potential and I think he could really blossom with someone who will continue putting consistent work into him.
His current owner has had him for about a year, but he has not had a lot of consistent work during that time. I am now working with him consistently and will continue putting training and miles on him.
His price will increase as his training progresses.
