VenmoThis is honestly one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to post. I’m so sad to be looking for a new home for my sweet boy, Sasuke. I posted him before but got way too sad and attached to actually let him go. Unfortunately, after moving, it has become too difficult to keep hiding him from our new landlord. My family and I love him dearly, but I know he deserves a home where he can have everything he needs.
Sasuke is about 9 months old and is such a loving, playful, energetic little guy. His name is pronounced “Sauce-kay,” and he knows it, although I’m sure he wouldn’t mind a name change.
My biggest hope is that he goes to a home with other ferrets so he can have a friend. He is a free-roaming ferret and is only in his cage for sleeping and eating. I would hate for him to go somewhere where he is kept in a cage most of the day or doesn’t get the attention and freedom he needs. Ferrets are not meant to live their lives like caged animals—they are social, playful, curious animals and deserve to be treated like part of the family, just like dogs and cats.
He is litter-box trained and usually just needs to be shown where it is a couple of times. He is great with cats, dogs, and children and loves to play and explore.
His scent bags have been removed, but ferrets naturally have a smell, and I want to be honest about that. Personally, the love they give completely outweighs it, but it is something a potential owner should understand.
Sasuke has not had his shots and is not neutered, so his new owner will need to take care of that. He is otherwise completely healthy.
I would strongly prefer someone who has experience with ferrets or has thoroughly researched their care. They require time, attention, enrichment, proper food, and veterinary care. I want someone who genuinely has the time and commitment to give him the life he deserves.
I would love for serious potential owners to come meet him first. He will come with his cage and everything he currently has.
I am firm on the price because I want him to go to someone who is serious about him and prepared for the responsibility.
This is incredibly hard for me, but I know finding Sasuke the right home is what’s best for him. If you think you could give him a loving home, preferably with another ferret, please reach out. I truly just want my sweet boy to be happy and loved.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope Sasuke is the perfect fit for you!
